computer not working properly

hi friends,
this is my 1st post.
i am very tired with my computer.
i purchased it in 2009
the process of my computer are very slow and it hang every time on every task even when 2 double click fast it also hang.
if i run 2 app on same time it dafenately hang.
if i put a dvd then also hang.
it doesnot support hd video
and much more problem....
the n ormal work that require only 5 min it will take 25 min
i formate it fully 2-6 times but problem are also arriived.also i change os, xp, 7 also problem.

THERE I THINK SOME DESKTOP ASSEMBLED PROBLEM thit i not know-
processor----Intel(r) pentium(r) 4 cpu 1.60 GHz
ram----------2 gb
hdd----------512 gb
monitor------CRT hp 5502
dvd writter---LG
motherboard-zebronic
sound-------intex
os----------windows 7

what are mis assembled?
and plesee say is requirement to change from above list or not.
i think change processor only p4 to dual core/core2dio then it will work fine.
is this think good or bad.
please help
 
You have a very old computer, a Pentium 4 at 1.6 ghz means its a slot 478 processor. It's time to get a new computer.
 
As stated, it's new PC time.
The original P4 1.6 came out in 2001, so you're basically using a 13 year old PC at this point....

Also, a C2D won't fit in that socket. You'd really want to upgrade everything related to that PC, I wouldn't reuse any existing parts like PSU either.
 
Yeah you just need to replace it.

Also it would probably run better with Windows XP than Windows 7.
