Computer or Console gaming?

Well, im posting this because next gen console gaming is getting hella expansive, and ive been out of the pc gaming scene for about 3 years now. What am/have I been missing? The only problem I had with computer gaming is that its always changing, and you almost constantly have to be upgrading your graphics card etc.
 
It is totally worth it. I have an X1900XT, and it rules. Think of the Xbox360 graphics and then some. Plus, some of the best games ever made are PC-only.
 
Hah, then I think I ruined it! All I play is FPS's and ONLY online. I havnt been able to play an offline game for more then a half hour for a long time, it just bore's me.
 
yeh, FPS games are sooo much better with a keyboard and mouse! i like to play games on both console and computer, certain types of games are good on consoles and other types of games are good on computer.....
 
Consoles are good for anything but FPS I think, the controllers with the console come with buttons in the right spots and easy to work with, and things are already set and optimal.

Action, adventure, RPGs, racing, etc are all better on consoles
 
I dont like consoles too much. The only thing they are good at is taking around the house easily. I love gaming on pcs, eve though i cant game with my pc:)
 
This is a longshot but, isn't it a matter of taste? :P

Hehe my taste is PC with keyboard & mouse for every game, then again I don't play flight sims...
 
I say PC all the way. Since in most cases, you can't make or download custom content for console games and the best games come out for PC and usually have the best graphics. Also, all the great massive multiplayer games are on the PC. The endless features of the PC compared to the console never ends!

The only advantage consoles have compared to the PC, is that it's guaranteed that every game will work and run smoothly.
 
Every games that comes out for consoles also comes out for pc! If Consoles have controllers thats no problem! There are controllers for pc you know so if controller is the problem just buy a controller that compatible for a pc!!! Therefore Still PC rules!!

I wish! There have been a few console only games over the last few years that I wish had been out on PC.

Personally, I prefer PC. I find a keyboard & mouse much easier to use in most cases.
 
I have my pc and an xbox 360 and i like the controls of the pc but the simplicity of the console game. There is no worrying about drivers and temps and hardware, but its not that much of a hassle.
 
I hate playing driving games on PC, has to be console. For online gaming, BF2 rules, but i do like playing Perfect Dark Zero on my friends Xbox 360 (Tenderchicken1 is his name if any 360 users are wondering)

also strategy games like Battle for middle earth, age of empires etc and games like sims are better for PC!

yea, that is the only flaw for me when it comes to PC gameing!

Sometimes that little advantage is all it takes.. most people don't know what a mobo is, nor how it connects to a CPU or a GPU.. and they think graphics card and video card are different things. It's just an easy way of making sure you're up to date.. plus, a CPU will cost alot more than a console.
