Hey, I am going to assemble a computer with about $1800 and I have chosen a list of components, but the thing is, I do not know if they are good or not. Any suggestions to this list of parts?

Why did you save it as an attachment? Also im sorry for laughing but you could use a way better graphic card. Why the hell would you pick a 6600GT if you have so much money to spend.

well im not really going to play that much games...but what do you reccommend would be a better graphic card?

The 6600GT is a fine card to pick for playing games. You don't need a floppy drive (seeing as how they are almost phased out). You don't need a barracuda drive either. A WD SATA or a Seagate SATA drive would work fine for only 15$ more with a gain of 50Gb. And depending on where you live you will get taxed by newegg and still have to pay shipping. www.zipzoomfly.com generally has cheaper prices in my opinion and doesn't charge shipping (tax is still in for CA though).

1. any reason for the Audigy 2 ZS platinum?
2. better DVD burner available than 1693... see CD/DVD 101.
3. make sure you get a good PSU to power everything (ideas and what to look for in PSU 101) .. the PSU that comes with the case is decent though (12V@20)
