I am just finding best parts for a powerful computer.
I am planning to buy GeForce 9800 GX2, I have a motherboard with PCI-E x16 slot. Is that good enough?
I am not very smart at computers construction so I turned to this forum.
Does the following list contain all parts computer has, if not (which Im sure of) please tell me what am I missing.
Processor
Motherboard
Memory
Hard Drive
Optical Drive
Video Card
Sound Card
Power Supply
Media Reader
OK, thanks for answering.
Yes, I am planning to buy a GeForce 9800 GX2.
By the way, what is the difference between different editions of 9800 GX2?
I have seen eVGA, MSI and much more (over 30). Some are more expensive, some less. What's the real difference?
I have:
Intel Processor Dual Core 2.8 Ghz
Gigabyte GA-945PL-S3 Motherboard with Intel support (Has one PCI-E x16 slot)
2 x 512 MB of RAM
250 GB of Hard Drive (Doesn't matter right?)
Windows XP 32 Bit
I think my motherboard has a PCI-E version 1.1, but GeForce 9800 GX2 says it needs 2.0. Is that a problem?
OK, You mean I should buy 2 x 2 GB RAM?
