my computer was keep turning off half way of booting, so i what i did is formated windows and tried to install windows xp again but half way of the installation it went off again. now i am trying to install windows again but it wont let me, i even tried to run a cd called (Hiren's BootCD 9.4) that repaires Harddrives, memory etc, but it still wont let me go forther. could somebody please help. cheers

Would help if you provided age of pc, specs, whether a self build or not and o/s m8

As its 4 years old m8 firstly id take the side panel off and clean the insides first esp all fans, then try again

It could be a sign of overheating, or a failing piece of hardware, id recommend you getting some new thermal paste, and applying it to the processor. Blow dusting out the inside with compressed air. If it still continues, try a different power supply if possible, and see what happens.
