computer problem please help

Hi i have this problem with my pc,was hoping somebody would be able to assist me! My pc fails to boot,im trying to install windows xp pro,i keep getting an error message saying INF file txtsetup.sif is corrupt or missing,status 32768 could it be possible that i have R.A.M issues? Please help

are you booting form CD or installing within the OS?

if booting form CD there are two otpions.

1. download your hard drive drive manufacturer’s utilities and zero (wipe) the drive, than partition and format - your drive will be like new

2. your ram is courrpeted and so you'll need to boot from only one stick (if you've more than one) and find which one is bad one and replace it
