I have a problem with my self built computer. My media center was working fine until yesterday which I can't see anything on the screen, at first, I thought it was a wires connection problem but it's not. I restart my computer by pressing the restart button but it doesn't restart and my keyboard doesn't work. I press and hold the power button to turn it off and turn it back on, it's the same result. After doing this 10 times, it finally shed a light, the computer is backup as normal but as soon as I press something, it freeze up and I'm force to restart, the same thing happen again. Can someone tell me what's wrong with my computer?

Thanks

I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to describe. It seems like a possibility that something isn't correctly connected. I would recommend going through your PC and making sure all hardware is seated properly in the expansion slots, I would also check the wiring to the control panel of your pc (power button, reset, etc.).

Post back with the results.

what I'm trying to say is that when I connect my computer to my monitor or TV, I can't see anything, all I see is black screen. So I restart my computer hopefully thing will change but the computer doesn't sound like it restart because usually I hear this "beep" sound when I start my computer. I continue to restart my computer many times and suddenly I see everything come up normal but as soon as I click something, it freezes and when I restart, same thing happen again. I will definitly try ur suggestion and let you know the result.

Thanks

How many times does it beep?

You may also want to check that all your fans and hard drives are spinning up properly.

If the beep you are hearing is a single, short beep, that is just the normal POST sound.

What kind of connection are you using for video to your monitor and TV?

Only two possibilities. The first is the one everyone else has mentioned which is to be sure everything is seated and connected properly. The other is that you have a faulty component somewhere. The way to determine that is get the system down to the basics - mainboard, processor, memory and monitor and boot it that way. Then, if it works, you can add compoenents one at time until you find the faulty one. Basic troubleshooting.
