Hey, I have a problem. Whenever I`m doing something, doesn`t matter what, my computer randomly restarts. I don`t know what the problem is, but my gues is tempature since my BIOS show 80+/100+ degrees. Also, my system fan is working, but my BIOS doesn`t show its RPM. Please help me fix this problem. I`m not thinking it`s a virus thats affecting my computer either.

umm...take heatsink out, take off any thermal paste from heatsink and cpu. Apply new thermal paste, reseat heatsink and make sure its in full contact with the cpu. Make sure cpu fan works. Then restart computer and check bios temp.

If you're usally not doing anything major, I'd suspect a powersupply problem over heat... About all you can do with a power supply is check your voltages in your bios or some software if you have it. Though sometimes they can be fine and you still have a bad PSU... Maybe if you still have problems after you change the thermal paste and such, see if you can get another PSU to test it out...

OH, you could always try underclocking your processor. I had to do that to my old one as it kept overheating... I think that old thing's about met it's match...

before u do anything to your internal stuff, did you guys ever think of spyware???? virus's can defnenetly do that to your computer. Try installing adaware and spybot and fully scanning them. you can get them at download.com, just search....also, virus scan with your real virus scanner if you have one. ex: nortan, macafee.

also, try going to restore windows, restore your computer to an earlier time that it didnt do this....that might also work

that could be the problem, if that doenst work, try there ideas.,

restore that baby to a while ago, if not, i'd say ur only chance is to either live with it or reformatt, save all ur stuff first :)
