Computer Randomly Restarting

Hello Everyone,

So at the moment my PC tends to be restarting randomly. I'll be in the middle of something and it will just turn off, then turn back on. I have no idea why it's happening. A couple of times I have completely shut it down and when I turn it back on it tries to boot up but then stops. So all the fans/lights of my PC will go on for a second, then they will all turn off and stop. It does this over and over until I unplug it from the wall, or until it manages to boot up.

My computer specs are in my signature, I can provide extra information if needed. Please help!

Thanks,
Gun

Upon bootup, press the F8 key so you can get into safemode options. When you see them. arrow down to where it says disable automatic restart on system failure and hit enter. Next time it wants to restart, it should give you a blue screen. Then I need you to do the following.

Download BlueScreenView
No installation required.
Unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

Nothing is overclocked.

This morning I can't manage to turn it on! All the fans go on for about half a second, then they all turn off. Then it repeats; they all go on, there's a little noise, then all the fans stop. It's like it's trying to restart but there's something stopping it. So yeah, I can't actually do what you've suggested because the PC cannot boot up.

Any other suggestions?

What kind of PSU do you have?

I probably should have included this in my specs list; it's a Corsair GS600.

I actually managed to boot-up my computer and it seems okay at the moment. I've been gaming on it for the last couple of hours and it's holding up. So as John instructed, I've disable automatic restart upon system failure, and I've downloaded BlueScreenView. Now I'm waiting till it gets a blue screen I guess.

It might possibly be your power supply playing up. Not sure. Keep and eye on it and keep us posted.
