Computer reads an absent Hard drive (Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!!)

I am using an Hp635 Laptop, which has been running extremely slow since I once used a foreign Hard drive on it, 3 months ago.

The compter is still displaying this hard drive as if it is still installed on the computer, although I am now using the original Hp hard drive.

I wonder if this kind of problem can be solved and hope someone can share the solution.

Nope, can't explain it besides maybe a corrupt OS. Where does this drive show up? Disk management? Windows Explorer? What happens when you try accessing it?
