computer restarting problem

Hello guys, my computer keeps on restarting on its own every time i power it on. It boots up completely and then after a minute or two, it restarts itself then finally after restarting about two times to completion, it switches off completely. Please tell me what could be wrong with it.
 
Don't know your OS, if its XP go into control panel then Administrative tools and Event Viewer. Look at the logs and see if it has flagged up any problems.

Could even be that your cooling fan has packed up, take the side of your case off and see if the CPU fan is spinning.
 
If the cpu fan is packed with dust it wouldn't restart it would shut down. Thats if the cpu fan isn't blowing.
