I've quickly found that this is a common problem on this section of the site, and I must ask that someone check my computer system for compatibility and quality. I'm not looking for a great system, but one that can play half life 2, doom 3, quake 4... stuff like that... I'm hoping I can keep it at the small Shuttle design, but if not, I'm open to changing it.

As a final note, I haven't shopped around for lower prices yet, but I've had many friends that are satisfied with Newegg, so it is likely I will be going there for most things. Besides that, this is more or less the trial run to make sure that I'm not doing this completely wrong.... I'm somewhat experienced in putting computer parts together, but I've never built a full system from the ground up before, and I'm almost certain it would be my luck that I would screw up something.

That looks like a nice system, however, using a Shuttle will severely limit your upgradability options in the future. Any reason why you're set on a Shuttle? Using an mid or full ATX will allow for nice cool temperatures, a nice PSU and better upgradability.

Yeah, it will also be cheaper. Installing a motherboard in is one of the easiest steps so buy it seperatly and get a nice one.
