My problem is pretty serious.
My laptop starts to shut-down completely during startup. With mains power supply, it shuts down just before the Windows XP logo comes on, then it just shuts down: no bluescreen, just blacks out and it shuts down. With battery, it lasts longer and I cound just enter my password for Windows, then same thing happened.
One thing is, before it shuts down, the fan starts spinning frantically, which should not happen because I just turned it on for 5 seconds and it should not be hot. I tried disconnecting the fan but same thing happens (except the fan did not spin, of course)
My laptop is quite old, so dust may built up. Could there be a short-circuit somewhere?
Please help, reply if you have any idea about what is wrong. Thanks
Note: some people may ask what I mean by shuts down, it is not a simple black screen, it is if u disconnect the power supply, and everything was gone in a click. No messages of error
