I have just upgraded my CPU to a Athlon x 2 6000+ GHz, ram from 2 to 4 GB, i have a radeon hd 5670 1 GB ddr5 i am running win 8.1. when i load a game (x flight demo download from Microsoft) i work for a while then the pc powers off immediately shutting down, i have a 500 w psu so don't think the processor is failing due to power. is there any way i can check the sys log to find out what hardware is failing also have a sapphire hd 6570 2GB ddr3 gpu and am wondering if changing them over is worth while as my motherboard only takes 1 gpu.

So you just replaced the heatsink from the old processor and put it back on the new one? If so, you have to remove all the existing thermal paste and apply new. Just a drop about the size of a pea in the center and let the heatsink spread it when putting it on.

thanks for the help i am new at this,
also i am looking at buying a new case but dont know where to star my sys specs are below
