Computer shutting itself off

I have this computer from my uncle that all of a sudden stopped working. He said it just wouldn't turn on. So I took a look at it and determined that it was the power supply since nothing was happening when I pushed the power button. So I went out and bought a new power supply and put it in and it turns on, but before I can click what user I ws to use it shuts itself off. It is an eMachines D2266 with the following:

2.2 GHz Intel Celeron
60 GB HD
256 MB RAM
Windows XP

Does anybody have any ideas?

remove ram, blow it off and re-insert, on that case, get all dust out of computer. This happened to mee too. it was too much dust on electronics/ram was being gay

I took the ram out and blew all the dust off of the inside of the case and it still is acting up. I tried another power supply that I own, but is too big to fit in the computer because it is one that the fan is attached to the back of it instead of inside it. It does the same thing with it. So I am kinda leaning towards it being a temperature thing as it is only 66 degrees in the house. I guess I will take it over to his house and see if it stays on as it will be warmer over there.

By temperature related, I meant overheating, most likely due to dust on the HSF, a misapplied HSF, or defective CPU fan.
