My mom recently reported a problem of what she said sounds like sparks in the computer. She said after 10 minutes of having the computer on she heard it twice and may or may not have actually seen a spark out of the corner of her eye. This is beyond me. Thought I start a thread to see if anyone knows anything before I go over there. Also very importnat detail its a emachines. Post your comments thanks!

i heard a sparking noise once and i could of swore it was coming from the computer...when i checked it turned out the live wire had come loose in the wall plug itself so tightend it up problem solved.

My friend called me once and asked me to fiz her computer, and when i went over and checked it out, one of the 4 plugs that go on the power button thing was loose and causing sparks :)

^ lol thats funny.

i would bet on a clicking CD-Drive, loose/buzzing screws, or a clicking HardDrive the reverbirates in the case and sounds much louder than it is.

If you've got an LED or light of anykind in your computer it might have simply flashed brighter for a second, or maybe she saw HDD LED light or sumthin light up. Mine do that occasionally, just get dimmer and then brighten back up on my fans...they are probably going out soon.
