So I am shopping around for a new computer and I wanted to know from someone knowledgeable about computers... is this an upgrade worthy of spending 800 dollars on?

What I Have Now

Intel Pentium 4 HT @ 3.00 ghz
2 GB of PC3200
250 GB Western Digital
GeForce 7600GS 256MB
Windows XP

not bad, but you should build one yourself and get a amd athlon 3,0ghz 6000+ and you should be able to get around those pricerange and still use your graphics card he is using two geforce 7600gs y dont you just buy 1 and sli it . we can help you alot on building your own

think most of the stuff on your rig is compatiable. If you use your case same RAM and video card and other stuff then its a cheap upgrade to a C2D
