computer starts up by itself

i have a system running on windows vista ultimate RC1, and when i go to sleep i put it to sleep (not shutdown). every now and again it will just power up for a minute or two and then shut down again. I dont know exactly how often it will do this because i am asleep but probably at least once or twice a night that i know of. Does anyone know why this is?
 
my gx240 does almost the same thing, like when i put it in stand-by, about 6 hrs. it will start up automatically, but just keep running, not shutdown..
