computer still wont work i just installed the cpu

it turns on it just wont appear on the screen
i have: motherboard
gpu cpu psu case cd drive
no ram or hdd
i still havent programmed the motherboard and nothing comes up on the screen the heatsink wont work also
 
As said you need memory installed before the computer will show anything on the screen. What do you mean by the heatsink won't work? Make sure the connector is attached to the motherboard header labeled cpu fan.

uh ohhhhh, definitely might want some ram in there...
 
make sure its wired properly too, just fried a board a few weeks back myself cause i didn't have a wiring diagram and was too lazy too look one up, so now i'm paying $100 for a new board...
 
You didnt hear beep sound without RAM? also you should have good power supply and make it connect properly to each and every device...

If he's trying to boot a PC that didn't have a CPU originally and then no RAM there's pretty much zero chance he hooked up the PC speaker :P

I'd really enjoy it if these people actually read the threads they made and thought for at least two seconds about what they're trying to do, but it doesn't seem to be the case..
