Computer switchs off for no reason??

hey every1 must type this quick as computer mite switch off. basically wen playing counter strike and eve online and anything else really my computer switches off after about 30 mins. My room is very hot as i have the boiling cuboard in my room. The computer feels really hot inside wen i take off the casing. Wot can i do, have no money to buy fans etc. need low cost remedy. my computer is just too hot.

Ok what Cpu r u running Because my room isnt hot and my System is around 60 Degrees Load and 55 DEgrees idle ...and i run a Amd Sempron 2800++

Edit ..but a couple of days ago my Pc reached 100 degrees with Stock cooling and no Oc and so i couldnt let it get this hot anymore so i took my Psu and put it on top of my pc case but the reason my Pc is so hot is because of my Case it is small so i am going to buy a new one ..soon hopefully

oh ye btw im running an amd athlon xp 2600, 512 mb ram and an ASROCK ks78x or something like that motherboard. I think the person i bought it from has oc and not installed the correct stuff to keep it cool, because it has 166mhz and 12.5 multiplyer. this has to be overclocked for a 2600 right? Ive got 1 fan on it and a heatsink and fan on my cpu.

ok well ur pc isnt a 2600 because my friend has a 2700 and can play well and 2600 run like a 1999 which is wat my pc is running at .,,so u may have been conned

Keep the side off the computer and if you have any fan in the house aim it at the case. Have you tried cleaning the PSU. Sometimes a dirty PSU will shutdown a system because your temps are not that bad.

ok my case is 34 degrees and my cpu is 55 degrees and thats with a fan on it and the panels off
that temp isnt enough to trip [default/normal] temperature safeguards....

Ive taken off the sides and put a fan directing on the cpu and the computer doesnt turn off so it must be something to do with the temps. It reaches around 65-70 before shutting down. Is this temp over the kill switch thing. Today ive ordered:
Gigabyte 3D Rocket Pro (Socket A/754/939/478/775)
and:
Coolermaster Neon LED 80mm Fan - White from overclockers.co.uk. I hope this fixes the problem
I dont get it, how do computers in really hot countries manage to operate if i live in england and they overheat??

no, i think thats the stock for some 2600's, its 2.083ghz, some 2700's run at 2.2ghz, but my barton 2800 runs at 2.083 stock too..

2600+ (TBredA) = 2.133Ghz
2600+ (TBredB) = 2.083Ghz
2600+ (Barton) = 1.197GHz
2700+ = 2.17GHz
2800+ (Tbred) = 2.20Ghz
2800+ (Barton) = 2.083Ghz

Well just because the country is generally hot doesnt mean the room will be :) I assure you running a AthlonXP on stock cooling in the desert is not advised
