Computer to Monitor Problems

Hello, so just recently, I got a desktop computer that seems to be in perfect working condition, but when I turn it on, it does activate everything in the computer but is not displaying any video on the monitor. The monitor is recognizing it, however, because it goes from showing a "Check cable" message to a black screen once plugged in to the computer. I have tried it on three different monitors, but to no avail. I have tried several different things by making sure everything was hooked in properly and also tried removing the power to the unit and holding the power button for a minute because it seemed to solve some people's issues. I heard that resetting the BIOS could work, but I want to make sure the BIOS is related with the issue beforehand. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Does this computer have onboard video or a dedicated video card? Can you give some computer specs?

It has both and neither connections are doing anything.

Specs:
Antec LanBoy Air Custom Built Computer Tower
Asus Motherboard
Intel 17-2600 Quad With hypertreading @ 3.4GHz Processor
16GB DDR3 RAM
2TB HDD
DVD RW Drive
Blu-ray Drive
Nvidia GTX 580 dual GPU with 3GB GDDR5

Ok. Do you have the pci express power connectors attached to the video card? Most likely not. Once a dedicated card is installed in the system, it disables the onboard. You must remove it before using the onboard video.

Yes, there are connectors labeled "PCI E" that are attached from the power supply to the card. There is one little piece that is unplugged, but it is attached to one of the connectors, and I don't see anywhere that it could be plugged into.

Looks like you need 1 - 6pin cable and 1 - 8 pin cable connected to the card. You need both plugged in before card will work.

Sorry, had to leave for awhile. Take the video card out of the system and try using the onboard video and see what happens.

Ok so you have 2 x GTX 580s connected correct?

Do you have the VGA cable connected to the top video card?

If so and you still have problems, connect the VGA cable to the onboard (motherboard) graphics. That will see if its the computer of the VGA cable/monitor that's misbehaving.

Yea, I realized that the motherboard has problems with it, so I will need to get it repaired. Thanks for the responses! :)
