computer to tv cable

ive searched and searched for answers and the leads

ive bought 2 different leads
1) VGA - SCART
2) VGA - HDMI

and both didnt work :(

i have a techwood 32" LCD TV with the typical ports (Ariel, 2x scart, 2x RGB ports and 2x HDMI)

with the VGA - SCART, the seller explained that it was a SVGA:confused: with only 14 vga pins and 20 scart pins
that was probably my best shot as a picture came up, but was black and white, distorted and had 3 repeats on each, like it wasnt in properly

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2M-SCART-LEAD...14&_trkparms=72:1300|66:1|65:12|39:2|240:1318

the VGA - HDMI didnt even give a picture or sound

any ideas people?

cheers

Do you have XP or Vista and do you have ATI or Nvidia
If you have Nvidia & Vista when you have it hooked up to your tv Hook up your monitor also and go to Nvidia Control panel go to set up multiple displays and click on dual or clone view and make sure that your displays are shown
