Computer turns on but then nothing [SOLVED]

Hi!

Sorry, I didn't know where to post this, becouse I don't know what's the problem.

Well, in the last time, I got some problems with my computer. When I start up my computer, I can hear that everythings turns on and see all the lights. But still, my screen, keyboard and steeringwheel doesn't respond at all. I've been reading a bit about this, and came up with that it could be the powersupply or the RAM memory. The computer gives away two beeps, and therefor I think that it's the RAM memory that is the problem. But I don't know. Also the computer does turn on sometimes, wich I haven't found any info about, and sometimes when it does turn on, everything freezes after a while, and some the screen starts to show a lot of squares on diffrent locations on the screen, sometimes it makes it look as a large chessboard, and some times it covers the whole screen, but with some different colors.

I've also taken the RAM memory out and checked and cleaned it, but it didn't help.

This makes me have no idea about what's wrong, so I hope for some help.

Please try to help me, otherwise I will have to take it to the creator, and I bought this computer from a company pretty long from here, so I will prefer if I can get any help from here, so please share all your knowledge about this!

Bye!

Tru a different video card to see If that solves the effects on the screen and the bootup issue.

Hi!

Thanks for your fast reply!

The only problem is that I don't have another video card than the one I'am using currently. But if it's the videocard, it shouldn't affect the keyboard and steeringwheel which is both connected via usb. Please prove me wrong throught.

Anyway some more info:
My computer is very new, I've had it for about 2 months only, so there shouldn't be any errors this new, or? Also, I have read if the RAM memory is broken, so that the first 64KB can't be loaded, you won't get any picture on the screen.

Bye!

If you don't get a input on your screen then you have a hardware issue somewhere, either ram, video card, mobo, could be other things as well. You might have to take it in to get looked at. If its still under warrany contact where you got it from.

I've contacted them now, and they think that it's the power supply. So I'll get it replaced and then get it back tomorrow as earliest. So hopefully this thread is solved, but I'll wait to set a [Solved] text on my title until I get my computer back and can see that it really was the problem. I really think that it's the power supply that is the problem, and so does the builders of my computer. But I'll wait just to be on the safe side.

Did you buy the computer from a store(new) or from like ebay or something?
Because if you bought it new then it shouldn't be the PSU or anything at all unless it's "sunday produced". A defect product. What brand is it?

Just a quick question. Do you have a usb hub connected? If yes remove it and see if the computer boots up normally.

No, I don't have any usb hub connected, but thanks anyway.

But the computer was bought from a store completely new, so I also found that strange... But it's in for repair now so I just got to wait and see if it solves the problem. I don't remember what the brand of my psu is, but according to my papers, I think that it's the strongest one you can get from that store. But, I cna't check until I get my computer back. Anyway, in my papers it stands:
Super Silent 750 Watt Crossfire
Don't know if that helps, but thanks to you too.

The best one they got? That's strange.. Hope they can fix it.

Thanks, hope so too. Maybe we will go and get it today and then we can see whatever it solved the problem or not. They said that it would come 6 pm yesterday, but then I haven't heard of them. But hopefully it's done:D.

Hi!

The problem is solved!! But, it wasn't the power supply...
The problem was that my graphic card was loose, and it had been a short-circuit between my graphic card and motherboard. However, I got both parts replaced, but with a better graphic card, for free!! So thanks for the help everybody!!

Also, how do I change the name of the title so that it stands [SOLVED]. I only managed to change the title for my first thread:o
