Computer upgrade

Do as you wish, but if those are your true specs in your sig, I'd say you have a pretty darn good computer there. I doubt you'd see a huge difference in gamming.

Many people get DDR667 rather than DDR800. They say there's very little difference between the two. You might consider that and save a few bucks...

thnx for the note about the RAM, I will consider that.

Whether its necessary or not, I feel that I could get better frame rates if my CPU was a bit faster.

Honestly, a huge majority of gaming performance is based on the GPU(s) That's why my PIII 733MHz could play Need For Speed Most Wanted decently :P

Understandable, but SLI mode puts a strain on the CPU, since it requires a lot of calculations for the CPU to do, to piece the info from both cards together.

Can you tell me how much performance gain I will get? Or lack there of?

Lets say Im playing BF2142 at max gfx settings, how many FPS you think I could gain?

I wouldnt bother upgrading just yet.

Just save up so you have the funds to build a new one at a later date.
Well thats what i would do.

well, after all the warning against. Is there anything I can do with my current rig to get better performance? because im not getting noticable performance difference over my old 1 card setup.
