Computer won't boot! Help!!

I have a HP pavilion, 514x, I push the power button once and it turns on and beeps once, then 2 seconds later, it has a continus beep and apperently freezes at the cmos/bios, i can't access the setup. I was wondering how can i fix this?

I have checked the ram, disconnected all hardware devices (including power). Nothing seems to change this. Any advice?

usually beeps means the ram is bad, otherwise I'd say motherboard, but the fact that it beeps kind of points more to the mobo still being okay. Also could be a problem with your cmos like you said, in which case you could try clearing it if there's a jumper on your mobo, I don't know how else you'd do it without being able to startup
