Computer Won't Power On

Ok - I have this Compaq that's about 1 1/2 years old. It was working fine the last time I had it on, which was about 6 months ago. I can hook everything up and as soon as I plug the CPU cord to the wall, the power light on the front and the light on the power supply blinks. That's all it does is blink and it won't power on at all. Would it be the power supply? Any ideas?

I had this very same problem two weeks ago with an eMachines Celeron. Final analysis showed the PSU was fine, but the motherboard and/or processor was trashed.

More than likely the mainboard is bad, seriously doubt that the processor is bad. You may want to unplug from the power line and reseat your vid card ( if not embedded on the mainboard) also reseat your ram.
