Computer wont Start up HELP!

I have a MDG computer with Windows XP. I did have alot of pop ups and I used Spybot to clean out the spyware before but the pop ups always came back. Last night I was on the computer and all of a sudden it went all crazy. Everytime I moved the mouse cursor it would open every program on my computer. So I hit the reset button on the computer. After doing that it went to a menu page with Safemode with networking, Safemode with command promt, & start windows normally. So I selected the start windows normally and it went to the black XP loading screen then the computer would reset it self and brings me back to the Safemode menu screen. I selected safemode this time and it resets it self. I assume that there is a missing file somewhere. How do I fix this guys? Thanks in advance.

Well you have a few options. Personally I would wipe the system (format) and start all over again. But you can try to repair with the windows disc. Just boot up with the XP disc and choose recovery. If this doesn't work, (either) then it's hardware, and you get to diagnose everything in your system! Yay! :eek:

After you get it up and running I suggest you back up your stuff and wipe it. Then pickup a copy of AVG for free or Norton Anti-virus, and just watch where you go online.

Reformat may be your best bet... and most efficient... Otherwise, download Spybot Search and Destroy and AVG and scan.
 
Ah yes, sorry for my mistake.

Seems that your only bet may either try doing a repair with your OS CD, or doing a full reformat...
