Computer won't start

So a couple days ago I was using my computer like normal and it suddenly just shut off. I tried turning it back on but it wouldn't start. The LED on the motherboard still comes on, and when I hit the start button the power LED on the front also comes on, but nothing else. All the fans start for a fraction of a second, then stop. The power supply makes a noise for the same fraction of a second that the fans move, but then it just quits. I tried switching the psu out to see if it was dead but I had the exact same results with a different power supply. By now all I can think it would be is the motherboard or cpu. But I really don't know. Has anyone ever seen anything like this before?

Thanks for the help.

Jiggle your case, do you hear any loose screws under or near the mobo? Any loose power cords in the case?

lol, or just open the case and look

Not with those symptoms

All that can be suggested is via process of emilantion figure out which component is fried. Try a diferent cpu, then mobo. Post back when you know more.
