For a long time , whenever I turned off my computer it wouldn't restart. I had to push the button multipule times or unplug and replug , untill it started for no reason?
So I would never turn it off!!!

So I bought a new PSU (COOLMAX|V-400 RT)to replace old one was only 300 volts.

I figured it was a psu problem , now my computer will not start at all?

The green light on the motherboard is on but it will not start?

Thx

What are your computer specs?

Is the power button cord connected to the mobo securely?

Have you tried jumping the two pins on the board directly to see if it starts then? That will tell if it's a bad power switch right away. You may never connected everything correctly in the first place. Recheck all connections on the board and compare those to the diagram in the user's manual. If you are off a pin that will goof the works. Then you may have received a bad supply if the board itself hasn't let go.

If it fires up right away you know what the problem is. Hopefully it will be as simple as that. How old is the board itself? If it has used for a few years already the bios may need an update or even the battery may have been weak for awhile and finally quit. You would be surprised how fast some batteries go. The last board here saw a cr2032 go in less then a year.

board 4 years or older,
still didn't start up

If the battery is dead would that make it not start up?

How would you go about testing the mobo to see if I have to replace it?

The last board here wouldn't start one day when it had been running great until then. The thought then comes across to replace the battery. Sure enough it fired right up with no problems there. It's one low cost item to consider if everything else checks out.
