i recently uninstalled nortan 360 to install a new virus software and during the instalation my whole computer has crashed, its become super slow and the task bar is missing, i will get a message saying my computer will shutdown and i have 1 minut to save my crap. Everytime i start a virus scan it shuts down, i want to do a complet reinstalation of windows except i have data on my computer i want and i cant copy and paste for some reason i cant drop and drag or anything i'm at a loss for what to do. please help me

Start > Run > shutdown -a
This will abort the shutdown, but you must be quick

You can then run the Norton Removal Tool: http://service1.symantec.com/Support/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039

You'll probably be ok after that to scan with other tools, like Malwarebytes and your new Antivirus (Hopefully free Avira )

i dont have the start bar, i can get to run with Ctrl Alt Delete cant i? i'll try that and see how it goes thanks

ok the virus scan isn't showing up with anything which is weird i want to do a reinstall of windows but i cant copy and paste or move any of my files because i want to put some on my external hardrive. is there any other way i can get my files onto my external hardrive without copy/paste?
