Hi Peeps,

I'm trying to figure out how to conect my Tv as a 2nd Moniter as i've downloaded a couple of movies that can only play on my PC.
My Video card has a VGA, DVI & S-Video output and my TV has a Scart and RCI input's.

Some help Please.

there are also S-video to SCART connectors iirc, that would be the easyest option i think :) ( Sorry if thats already mentioned, i dont know the names for them)

ooohhhh...you took the words right out of my mouth
Oh it must have been while you were kissing me
.....You took the words right out of my mouth
And I swear it's true
I was just about to say use a scart socket... yeahhh

anyhow those scart connectors are good... but they can be flaky on picture quality in my experience. BUT most TV have there RCA connectors on the front which can means you have to run cables to the front of the TV :(.... so i guess you have to pick your preference.

Hay,

I've gone and brought a S-Video to Scart cable, have plugged it into my TV but nothing happens, is there something else i have to do?? I've downloaded the lastest driver. I do have My computer Moniter and TV conected on the same card. No images come up on the tv at all!!

Right-click on your desktop and click on Properties. On the Setting tab there's a drop-down box which is labeled Display, when clicking on it there should be a secondary monitor, choose it and click on the "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor" box. Then click on OK.

If that doesn't solve it, tell us what video card you have. And did you choose the right channel on the TV? For me it replaces the VCR channel.

I do all this but when i click on apply, my PC moniter goes blank for 2 seconds and then the secondry moniter comes back being disabeled, weird!!

I've also tried to enalbing it through the ATI Calitist Software also but the same problem as above happens.

If it makes any differece i've conected the TV though the S-Video to a SCART converter.

I have a radeon 9800XT 256MB.

Cheers

Finally got it to work, i went and got a S-viedo to S-video cable, and it worked fine, so i have no idea why it didn't work with the scart converter.

I can get it to work fine with movies but when it come to games it game window is massive, so i'm going to have to play around with that.
