Trizoy VIP Member Aug 25, 2006 #2 If you can boot on ping (not familiar with it) you could forward a specific port to your local machine through your router. And ping the machine evrytime you want it to start. THen use something like www.logmein.com to log into the machine.

F funkysnair VIP Member Aug 25, 2006 #3 i really do need more information as i dont even know what ping is or how to forward a port!!! just thinkin of gettin cctv cammeras with motion detector and writes straight to hard drive. think it would be good to be able to access yer hard drive from internet cafe abroad just to make sure no scum get in me house
