Configuring OS need it to Boot

alright i have a version of windows xp professional as an iso file, i want to know if theres anything i need to do to make this a bootable cd example, i have a blacnk computer and i would like to set it to boot from cd, with my sio disc ive been having trouble making the computer boot from it
any suggestions on process, what could be worng or even software you use for such a thing
