Hello again guys.
The time is coming this next week for me to order the new motherboard and 3000+ cpu for my first build. Though this computer will be mostly for gaming, I will also use it for video editing and learning once and for all how to over clock a system. I do still need an AGP slot for my newer X800XL card, and after reading OC 101, I find the AGP slot card suggested there is the MSI K8N NEO2 PLATINUM. I have taken a look at this motherboard and all seems to be good I suppose, however for some reason each time I look on NewEgg, the ASUS A8V Deluxe Socket 939 is calling to me somewhat like a long haired Asian girl in a Japanese massage parlor.
For some reason, I am finding it hard to order the MSI over the ASUS, but since this is my first build and I know little about Motherboards, I am asking for advice about this issue. If I order the ASUS, will I be limited in the over clocking abilities somehow? Why would the MSI board be a better choice for me over the ASUS?
