Conflict between wireless-n pci adapter and Graphics card

I got a Linksys wireless-n pci adapter wmp300n, I installed the driver software and then shut down my windows xp home edition (mobo: rs482m4), inserted the Linksys, and when I turned it on, their was no display, I took out the Linksys and the thing worked fine, what should I do?

Either try a different pci slot or it could be that the adapter is bad.

yeah, I tried multiple pci slots, the adapter worked in my older computer, so the adapter is not bad, but it is preventing the graphics card from working

Check to see if you can update the bios?
