confused about HD4870

hey so is the HD4870 and HD4870 x2 the same thing? x2 meaning crossfire?
and can if not is the HD4870 x2 crossfire-able?

HD4870x2 is two GPUs used in HD4870, but in one circuit board&package. So, it's a single card, just bigger, more powerful, and more expensive. And yes, you can crossfire two 4870x2's for quad crossfire - that would be about the same as crossfiring 4 4870s.

oh i understand now lol, i wasnt sure cus i thought they sold it as a package together.

that should help - see it's 2 gpu's one card. its LONG though make sure your case will fit it. and also note that it takes an 8-pin pci-e connector. i mean, the pci-e slot goes halfway across your motherboard, look how much further the card goes.
