Confused on RAM

I have 1Gb of standard DDR400 (PC3200) in my system.
CPU-Z reports that the RAM is operating in Dual Channel mode at 200Mhz clock.

What is the difference between memory labeled Dual Channel and memory that is not.

The RAM that I have is not labeled Dual Channel.

Just a little confused here !!

Dual-Channel is somethign that can be supported by the motherboard and CPU, it jsut doubles the bandwith of the RAM you use, if you have two sticks in. The RAM does not have to be labeled dual-channel.

I have started back building computers again after some years.
Got to catch up on the latest technology !!
After some more digging, it appears that the RAM that is labeled dual channel is just matched pairs.

I built a gaming computer for my grandkid and now he has got me playing Doom -3.
