Hi,

I've just bought a new case...

I'm bemused by the slot covers at the back of the case, Am I suposed to snap them off as I come to use them as they have a small amount holding them on the bottom...

Also, I'm getting a new motherboard, and I'm not too sure on how to attach it to the case?

Thanks for the help! :)

I assume you had a pc before this one? you could open the case and see how the motherboard is fir. ( I also think its shown in every motherboards manual :) )
as for the PCI slots, yes, youre supposed to snap the ones out wich youre going to use.

Yeah, I've got a stock Compaq, so I've only opened it to fit RAM and graphics cards...

Ok sure, Is that the same with the CD drive bays?

Thanks, Danny

Awesome, thanks a lot, I don't know what I'd do without this Forum!

How do I go about fitting the mother board to the case?

Oh right, So the brass standoffs attach to the mother board and through the small holes on the metal plate in the case, Ok.

Awesome thanks a lot guys... and girls :)

i made this picture a very long time ago for someone on this forum, and its sat in my MY Docs folder forever, now it can be used again....

Thanks a lot Dragon! :D That was fortunate, lol... :)

Yeah, I know, Compaq do suck a little, Well, They're Ok actually! They aren't as bad as Dell, they put a limit on the amount of RAM they can have in them, my friend can only have 1GB Max!

I have too many screws!
I don't know which ones to use, Despite the help from Dragon's amazing picture, (which he should put in the photoshop art thread ;) )

I still don't know what to do with them all, lol.
