Congress trying to pass Internet bill to view internet history?

A guy at my work told me about this bill that congress is trying to pass ... basically the bill is to "stop little kids from watching porn" ... so they can ask the ISP for internet history to see if Children are watching porn but if they find other information as in Illegal downloading then they can use the information to do whatever they want with it... its kind of like the patriot act but with the internet...

please tell me this is 100 % false ?

Anyone heard about this?

I am not informed on the subject, but it seems to be right in line with the laws trying to be passed currently.

I think that this government is about done. A civil disagreement (probably wont trip FBI like war would) is probably right around the corner.

The bill your coworker was probably referring to was about child pornography, not children watching pornography (Protecting Children from Internet Pornographers Act of 2011). And yes, it's a real bill (HR1981) that thus far has passed through the house judiciary committee back in July.
