connect 2PCS and 1 screen how to?

well i have a laptop with vga monitor port and i have another Linux box
what i want to do is to connect the Linux box to my laptop vga so i would be able to work on both laptop and pc using one screen which will be my laptop LCD
and be able to switch the screen between both of them
1- can i do that?
2-if yes then what kind of software/devices do i need?

No. The VGA port in a laptop is for hooking up an external monitor, not for hooking up another computer to use the lappy's LCD; laptop monitors can't be used to output image from other computers.
