Connecting 2 or more networks

Hi guys can u plesae tell me the issues involved in connecting 2 or more networks including:

1. Packet Routing
2. Security Implications
3. Compatibility

Help is greatly appreciated

Lol il be honest guys it is a question to a test which i have got tommorow its my Alevel exam for ICT and i basically have to do a network diagram showing how i connected the head office up but the next question they have asked is that they want to connect up 3 buildings that are far apart from each other together in the future and the question is

Produce Notes discussing the Issues involved in connecting 2 or more networks including

1. Packet Routing
2. Security Implications
3. Compatibility

I really need help with this if any of you guys have got some really useful links then id be very greatful or if u cud give me ur input to this then i would be greatfull too.

ya but your the one going to school for it and y didnt you ask it in class or somethin or textbook?
