Connecting case fans to the power supply

Right, I have a mate who wants to install 2 case fans, 1 80mm on the side, and one 120mm on the back.

When I put in a Zalman 80mm fan in my computer my PSU had 2 small connectors for the Zalman case fans' power cable like this:

However, it seems that his psu doesnt have this, it only has the normal 4-pin power connectors (plus the others, without the small ones I need obviously ;) ) And it seems the 120mm fan needs this small connector as well:

Any way I can work around that?

Thanks for your help :)

Those small connecters are meant to be connected to the mobo or a fan controller, but if you have no place on the mobo to put them or no fan controller then you can just buy a cheap converter that will allow you to plug them into the PSU. This is what I'm talking about...

Hmm, I see. I connected them directly to the PSU on my CPU, and it seems to work well enough.

So they'll get the power they need from the motherboard if I cant find the connectors?

Yes, if you connect them to the correct headers on the mobo then they'll receive the power they need, unless they're some ridiculously powerful fans that suck up a car battery within seconds...Look at your mobo manual and it'll tell you where you can connect fans.
