Connecting DVD-R drive to laptop

Another question.....Is it possible to connect a second DVD-R drive to my laptop? I was looking at one on http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827129001

If it's possible, what other hardware do I need to connect it?

i dont think you can add a internel one but you can deffinetly get another DVD-r drive that is externel.

Yeah, that's what I was kinda thinking....It's a lot more expensive though. haha....I might just have to splurge!

yeh it is more expensive but for a laptop that is all that is an option... sorry.

That one acctually got pretty good reviews....I am finding some pretty cheap externals on eBay, but I gotta check out their feedback.....never can trust them too much!

ya my bros friend has this beastly usb burner that burns all types of CDR's and all DVD's and the DVD+/-R were at something like 24x???im not sure but he gets data from his comp to a disc aloooot faster than i can, ill try ta get u a model # if i can, it was like $70 too, also could those ubs/IDE converter cords be just as fast? or is that the full potentional being used of USB 2.0
