Hi guys, ive been trying to connect my thinkpad to my TV to use as an external monitor. Its a sharp aquos 42 inch, max rez is 1920 by 1080. Im using a VGA to Component cable to make the connection. My problem ( i think) is that my laptop wont let me choose any resolutions supported by my TV to output at, so im not getting a signal to the TV. I think I need a program that will let me choose a different resolution than the factory defaults my drivers let me. Anybody have any ideas?
