ok my laptop doesnt have an s-video but it has a vga thing and so does my tv...i plugged a blue vga cable from my laptop to tv with no problem..picture is good...but how do i get the sound to come out of the tv speakers instead of the laptop speakers...i took the speaker cable from my dekstop monitor that went to my desktop pc and hooked em up from the laptop speaker port to the tv speaker port..still the sound comes from the laptop...any one know?

TV speaker port? What type of connection is that? You have to make sure the TV's VGA and audio ports are on the same channel (vid1, vid2, etc.) otherwise you won't get each simultaneously.

no i have A button on my remote thats called "PC"...i just click that and the picture pops up....I Can hear the TV Channel's audio through the laptop speakers hwen i connect the speaker wire from the laptop to the tv...but i want it to be th eother way around

That VGA port should be associated with a TV input. You just need to plug some RCA cables from your laptop into the correct input. If you don't have the converter, you just need a headphone jack to RCA converter or cable. Radio Shack would have either.
