Hi Computer Forum,

My main computer is connected to a wireless router via ethernet. I want to wire up my wireless printer so it can be in the other room. Can i connect to my wireless printer via the router if you see what i mean because my computer doesn't have wireless.

I am running windows vista.

As long as your wireless printer is connected to your wireless router, meaning not using any ethernet cable then you can move it anywhere you want providing its within range of the router. And as far as setting the printer up on another computer, all you have to do is rerun the printer install cd on the new computer and tell it you are setting up another computer.

it's been awhile since i set up a wireless printer, you will need to make sure the printer uses the same ip range that your network uses. You will want to use encryption also...or your neighbors that have wireless will be coming over looking for the stuff they printed out.:)
