Connecting to home network

We wanted to do some projects with my friend. He wanted to share me his network, but he can't because of ISP limitations. We want to do something like : I'm connecting to his network and do some things with him, having the same data. Just like remote work but without connecting to remote desktop - only to his network. What VPN or other service we can use?

Hamachi is probably the easiest.

Or a pfsense box on a VM, use it to create a VPN or tunnel.
