Connecting to xbox 360

you need to use windows media center, not player... i personally dont like using wmc... i just share the drive, and make sure all users have full control over the files...

if hes using it for music, download the zune software and it has xbox sharing built in and its really easy to establish the link.

It's mostly for movies. I backed them all up and i'm glad i did because my cousin borrowed my whole collection and she is in WA right now. I hope i can figure this out because that will be cool.
Any idea's guys?

I'm not sure of the issue here (sort of got confused in reading) but i did mine the other day and will go through it...

1. Vista should say found the extender thing, xbox 360. Click it and choose the setting up option

2. go through the setting up your system and eventually it will ask for a code

3. Turn your xbox on, go to my xbox and to the media centre logo, press a on it and the code will come up, type it in.

4. Hit next on your computer and on the xbox and it should download some stuff to your xbox while setting up vista to be used with the xbox, this might take a couple minutes.

5. You are one. Transfer it over and you have the link done

If that didn't answer, which step is it messing up on, i couldn't get it from the original post

=EDIT=
I think i know why you don't get it. I have just watched the video and it is outdated, it was done before the big xbox system update so the process isn't correct any more, what i said above should be what you need, don't follow what the xbox says, it just takes you to the same page that tells you how to do it and it takes you around in circles and doesn't work too good
