Connection problems

My internet is nearly always very slow now, and I'm pretty sure it's my modem cause when I reset the modem, the internet is fast like it's supposed to (I'm @ 2 Mbit/s which is pretty huge for Switzerland). Sometimes, the connection just cuts altogether. Is it time for me to get a new modem?

Most likely... How long have you had it.. and I dont know if in Switzerland if the isp provide you with one or not.. but they did.. it's probably not a very good one either..

So, yeah it could be that you just need a new one... it can also be other things too.. but that's something else.

What operating system are you running?
are you running any file sharing/p2p software?
are the drivers installed correctly for the modem?

also, are you using a router?
