I am going to be building a computer when conroe comes out and here are some stuff i picked out for it. Is anything incomaptible? am i going to notice a difference bewtween those 2 links for ram and is there any better ones out there? I already have a IDE harddrive for this so i dont need one and i dont need a soundcard or dvd drives. Is the motherboard ok it says its compatible with conroe and is there any better ones that are cheaper? and is there any better cases that have really good airflow or is this one good enough. Thanks for the help.

Once conroe comes out will that lower the price of other Core Duo's or CPU's in general?

Yeah you are right to suppose so. The prices of CPUs will decrease by quite a lot. The AMD line of single-core as well as dual-core processors will drop by a lot. The Intel line of single-core as well as dual-core processors will also drop by quite a lot. Both companies want to sell out the current supplies to open the market for new processors and limit losses.

So is it safe to say, I should wait a little bit longer (when is it coming out by the way?) before I upgrade my CPU, just so that I can get a better price?

Yes

It would not hurt for the prices to drop IF you want something else than Conroe. However, the Conroe (Core 2 Duo) will not drop in price because it will be a new thing :) I think the date is late July. The price of Core 2 Duo will be fairly low and very competitive right from the start.

Conroe is coming out July 23rd. and yes you should wait longer for the processors to drop in price.

Is there a cheaper motherboard that supports conroe and has 2 PCI E slots and IDE and at least 2 PCI in there but supports conroe and is cheaper. and what does everyone think of the case is there better ones and is the airflow in this one good. and will i notice a difference in the lowest latencies on the two types of ram there and is it worth the extra money.

I would wait until Conroe comes out before buying a motherboard, since they will have a much larger variety, and you can be 100% sure that the motherboard will work.

ok ill wait tell conroe comes out and for a better selection on mobo's. Is there going to be any performance loss between the two rams i have posted cause one has lower latencies and is it worth the price difference.

i would try finding theHIS Hightech Radeon X850XT ICEQ II EDITION
not quite the "features" (that you prolly wont even use) of the 7600GT, but has superior performance and if u get the IceQ II it is extremely cooling effeciant and EXTREMELY overclockable... and the X850XT is 256-BIT while the 7600GT is 128-BIT
and the x850xt has 16 pixel-pipelines while the 7900GT has 12...

go with the x850xt IceQ II...

I will probably just get the 7600GT or 7900GT depends on how much money i have saved up by the end of july. Is there going to be much of a difference bewtween the RAMS that i have posted in the first page cause one has lower latencies and will i notice a difference in performance.

Probably not noticable differences. Once you have that much DDR2...well, its gonna be fast. I doubt either would make much difference.
